After painful wait of 25 years for Justice some kind of protest was needed to remind them that hearts of victims are still bleeding. mere compensations can not heal their wounds, justice needs to be done. but in contrast the preparators were rewarded with ministries and even after nanavati commissions report they got tickets. not only that cbi decided to close down the cases. they were pouring salt on our wounds and thinking sikhs are weak and dont have courage to stand against it. my shoe was not against Home Minister P. Chidambram but against the denial of justice. its true chidambrams remarks of happiness on tytler’s exoneration triggered the passion in my heart but later on he himself accepted that ‘enough people have not been punished’. its very honest acceptance. if the oldest party woke up after my shoe and booted them out then its not my fault. politically a right step has been taken but still guilty needs to be punished by court.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh,
Veer G, I totally agree to the point which you have made.
As you have said your self the way of protest could be wrong however the issue which you have raised is right.
Any Sikh who is going thru the trauma of the injustice done can loose control at times.the way it happen was the best happened with the RAZA of Waheguru to at least let us the SIKHS think once again that whether a Sikh can live with injustice?
Dear, I have the courage to say that method of protest was not appropriate but what about those who have not acccepted their fault even after massacre of 5000 innocent sikhs. my step was for a greater cause. i am proud of myself for standing against injustice. guru nanak sahib said-’je jeeve pat lathi jaaye sab haraam jeta kich khaye.’ means sikh should not live without respect.
we all r proud of u veerji
u sent a great message to the nation , just hope chardikala for u always, yeah one more thing , just be careful of these political parties
I think your way of protest was also right. Its not that sikhs protested this way just after the incident. It has been 25 years and all other ways of protests have failed. Its media age and your shoe hit the right place. I salute your guts. And hope more people learn to stand up for justice.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh dear beloved veer ji.
What you did was inspirational & you are what a real Sikh should be!
We as a Kaum are being persecuted far too much & I pray all Sikhs find that courage again to speak out & fight against injustice like you did.
May Waheguru forever keep you in Chardi Kala.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Guru Fateh Singh jio.
In my perspective i think your way of protest was completely and absolutely correct. Singh ji you have opened the eyes of many gursikhs that have been sitting quietly for the past 25 years, waheguru ji kirpah karan may there be other strong singhs such as yourself who stand up for justice.
bhul chuk maaf karni.

thanks for caution. i am aware of these power greedy political parties. we all panth loving sikhs needs to put together our efforts to save it from these crocodiles. please suggest how we can do it?
After the shoe incident, Jarnail, you did a great thing. Coming out openly in condemning the method of protest. That put the politicians on a backfoot. Quarter century almost half the life time of an indian life.
Now that the incident has taken place, what one need to concentrate is how to keep the fight going and the fight for justice burning?
if i am not wrong, the very purpose of this blog is to keep the flame burning.
I have a simple suggestion. Why not profile all those victims who are still alive with a comparison of what they were then and how they are now.
we are all proud of u.
we r seeking justice for last 25 yrs.It feels justice in India is just a dream. If the culprits will not be punished, they(or someone else) will repeat that massacre again.
as a sikh I salute you.
veerji i request u to plz join politics as we hardly hv any honest sikh politician working for the panth.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Jarnail Singh Ji, not only your intentions but also the method was correct, when you threw that shoe in the air. I could clearly understand your frustration when minister tried to avoid your burning questions, considering the fact this has been the attitude of Indian ministers from last 25 years. No minister has taken responsibility to address this issue.
I was analysing the whole event from throwing of the shoe in the air and after math of your action. Even though because of your courage, election ticket was revoked from Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler but I feel the ‘real’ reason why you threw the shoe was neglected/ignored.
I understand, you threw the shoe in protest of no justice have been served to victims of 1984 genocide. But the fact is, still no justice have been served. I am now starting to loose hope and believe India will never serve justice. Therefore rather spending our energy and time towards demanding justice, we should concentrate on giving relief to victims of 1984 Delhi genocide. What you think Sikh panth can do help these victims?
Regards
Janpreet Singh
paaji, HATS OFF TO YOU, as long as we have sikhs like you, i m 100% sure that justice will be served one day, no matter how long it takes, thanx very much

Dear Suryamurthy and janpreet ji, with god’s grace i have been doing something related to 1984 victims. you all would know about it very soon. i think my shoe hitted the real target. sajjan kumar and tytler. actually it was aimed towards them.
Dear Veerji,
You had done what most of us sikhs wanted to do but could’t.25 YEARS AND NO JUSTICE IT ONLY MEANS SIKHS are neglected. After all justice delayed is Justice Denied.
We sikhs need a powerful representation and an organisation that can drive youth towards Sikhi so that in Future the voice of Sikhs become louder and clear.
Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh
Your act was brave enough. At times that sikh leaders is weak, ur act has made the entire community aware that those murderers cannot run away from any sikh. They did attack Harmandir Sahib and sikhs, they cannot run. At times that sikhism is suffering sikh leaders are a need that can lead the sikhs.
thanks for a valid suggestion

you are a true sikh and we proude of you!!
veerji you made us think once more to choose our way whether we should keep our eyes closed and think that their will be no justice OR RAISE OUR VOICE IN ONE TONE AND FIGHT FOR THE JUSTICE TILL THE END. WE NEED A STRONG , INSPIRATIONAL AND A FIGHTER ( LIKE U).
veerji , we need to get the youth together and fight. Hopefully you w’ll lead us till the end to get justice.

Dear Jarnail Singh ji: When Bhagat Singh threw a bomb in the assembly hall, it was not to kill any Englishmen but to “make the deaf hear”. If after 25 years, a government cannot punish the culprits then what right it has got to govern? I think your action was totally justified. Do not think that you are alone in this fight. India needs more people like you.
wjkk wjkf,
Dear khalsa ji, I would not accept any monetary help from any one. i find it against my character and sikhi spirit. yes, you can help my book on 1984 carnage as it would be sewa for panth. book will be ready in a month or two. if you wish to know a little brief on book then please contact me through this page.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Veerji, your brave act reminds me of Bhagat Singh’s words that bombs are required for the deaf. Your footwear left a mark deep enough to damage the political careers of Jagdish & Sajjan.
Veerji, I’ve listened your Kirtan personally with Katha in the Chowki, Prabhatferis & Nagar Kirtans. I believe this is the skill endowed by the Akal Purakh upon you which should now help you, emotionally and financially. It’s a kind request on my part to think about Kirtan. I don’t mean to commercialize it but for the sake of bread and butter. You have immense knowledge of Gurbani and you can do the Sewa of the Panth through this brightest asset of yours.
By the way, hope you recognized me by now.
May Waheguru Ji bless you with Chardikala, you continue to do the Sewa of the Panth and enlighten others thru Gurbani.
Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
Dear Jarnail Singh Ji,
Nice to see you in Chardhi Kalaa and fighthing for justice for the atrocities committed in 1984.
Just a thought but it might be a good idea to team up with Harvinder Singh Phoolka for research into the post ’84′ Carngage. He has written a detailed account in ‘When A Tree Shook Delhi’, and as I’m sure you know explicitly described the massacres that took place after the death of I Gandhi.
Unfortunately the wheels in GOI turn extremely slowly when it suits them and even after several comissions (Nanavati/Misra etc) no action has been taken to bring the culprits to justice.
Regards
Inderjit Singh
